Emily So

Emily So is an R&D Engineer at BenchSci since April 2024. Previously, Emily served as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Code Ocean from May 2021 to April 2024, where best practices in bioinformatics were highlighted, and workflows in machine learning were generated. As a Graduate Student Researcher at University Health Network from August 2020 to December 2023, Emily completed a thesis project in Computational Biology. Additional experience includes studying Deep Learning applications for electroencephalogram classification at Princess Margaret Hospital Research Centre, web development for an online health coaching platform, and bioinformatics research analyzing microbial protein interaction networks. Education includes a BSc in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology and an MSc in Medical Biophysics, both from the University of Toronto.
