Vincent Carrat

Vincent Carrat has a strong background in physics and engineering. Vincent currently works as an Optical Engineer/System Engineer at Bertin Technologies since July 2021. Prior to this, they were a Laser Engineer at LUMIBIRD, formerly known as Keopsys-Quantel group, from March 2018 to July 2021. In this role, Vincent was involved in developing and producing preamplifier laser modules for the Laser Megajoule facility. Before joining LUMIBIRD, Vincent worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northwestern University from January 2016 to January 2018. During this time, they focused on quantum manipulation of atoms and the potential commercialization of related technologies such as ultra-precise clocks and quantum computers. Prior to that, Vincent served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Virginia from January 2013 to January 2016, where they worked as a research associate in T.F. Gallagher's group. Overall, Vincent Carrat's work experience spans both academic research and industry, with a focus on optics, lasers, and quantum technologies.

Vincent Carrat has a strong educational background in the field of physics and engineering. Vincent obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Atomic/Molecular Physics from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) between the years 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Laser and Optical Engineering from the Institut d'Optique Graduate School from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained another Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Optics/Optical Sciences from the same institution in 2009. In terms of certifications, they obtained a Mechanics certification from the University of Virginia in April 2013.
