Kalli Unthank is an experienced environmental professional with a diverse background in sustainability, groundwater quality assessment, and educational program coordination. Currently serving as a Program Coordinator and previously as a Program Officer at Better Cotton since June 2022, Kalli supports licensing and assurance for the Better Cotton Sustainability Standard in the US. Prior roles include Environmental Specialist at the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, focusing on groundwater quality and PFAS contamination, and Environmental Scientist at Kleinfelder, managing site assessment and remediation projects. Kalli's earlier experience includes educational roles at Sanibel Sea School and Kentucky Science Center, complemented by research and technical positions during studies at Florida International University, where Kalli earned a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences, and Jacksonville University, which awarded a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences.
