Dan Romanic

Dan Romanic, CFI, currently serves as the National Loss Prevention Manager for the Southern Zone at Big Lots, a position held since January 1999, after progressing from Regional Loss Prevention Manager and District Loss Prevention Manager roles. Throughout a distinguished career at Big Lots, Dan successfully exceeded shrink reduction goals for 10 out of 12 years across a 240-store region and achieved significantly lower Workers Compensation and General Liability frequency rates compared to both company and industry averages over the past five years. Prior to Big Lots, Dan spent 14 years at Kmart as a Loss Prevention Manager, where a strong emphasis on teaching and training was cultivated to effectively manage shrink. Dan's educational background includes attendance at BTHS West in 1980.
