Bria Mertens

Bria Mertens is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate legal affairs. Currently serving as General Counsel at Biocartis since April 2025, Bria previously held the role of VP - Corporate Legal Affairs and Associate General Counsel at Myriad Genetics from April 2019 to April 2025. Prior to that, Bria worked as Corporate Counsel at BioFire Diagnostics, LLC, where vital contributions included legal guidance on corporate governance and contract negotiations. Bria’s career began at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP as an Associate, with a focus on corporate finance and financial restructuring, and earlier roles also included an Attorney at Stoel Rives LLP and a Pro Bono Fellow at Bet Tzedek Legal Services. Bria holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA in Art & Art History from Rice University.
