Alka Chaubey is an experienced professional in the field of medical genomics, currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Bionano Genomics, Inc. since August 2020. Prior to this role, Alka was the Head of Cytogenomics at Perkin Elmer Genomics from May 2018 to August 2020. Alka's career includes significant positions at the Greenwood Genetic Center, where responsibilities included Director and Assistant Director from August 2010 to August 2020. Earlier experience includes a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology in Hyderabad from 2002 to 2004. Alka holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Guru Nanak Dev University, obtained between 1996 and 2001, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Life Sciences.
