The role

The Application Packaging Specialist is a vital role within the Blenheim Chalcot portfolio and Agilisys. This role will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless deployment and distribution of software applications across our organization. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and progressive environment, where you will support us in building our next generation of GenAI enabled tech businesses.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Application Packaging Specialist to join our dynamic IT team.

• Provides proactive administration, management, troubleshooting in all phases – discovery, Packaging / repackaging, QA, UAT, deployment, automation and day to day support
• Develop, test and maintain software packages for distribution to user desktops, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
• Package off the shelf application Install / uninstall and troubleshoot applications.
• Create MSI / Transforms / Patches, ThinApp and APP-V packages
• Write documentation – SOP, Process improvement, Discovery (Install instructions), Recipe, QA, UAT
• Reporting – daily, weekly, monthly, on demand
• Maintaining high quality for deliverables
• Engage with project teams, third party as needed to provide packaging and deployment support
• Distribution of software via SCCM 2012/2016 and Intune
• Application reporting on installation / upgrade / removal status
• Managing requests, incidents, change and records

About you

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in application packaging and deployment using tools like Install Shield, ORCA, Picture Taker, and other related technologies. 

Must Have :

• Good knowledge of Windows 7, 10, 11 and Mac OS
• Excellent experience on SCCM 2012, 2016 & Intune, of MSI packaging technologies. Admin Studio, Install Shield, InsEdit and Orca
• Extensive experience in Application packaging/repackaging, Application compatibility testing and deployment
• Good Understanding of virtual packaging technologies: VMWare Thinapp and MS App-V.
• Must have and understanding in Packaging /virtualization process, workflow, best practices, and standards
• Ability to use the best packaging technologies
• Must be good in scripting language VB Script, Batch Script, PowerShell Scripting.

• Excellent communication skills, written and oral, Strong customer service skills
• Must be a team-player

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
