Jim Li

Jim Li, Ph.D. has extensive experience in engineering and management across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Director of Quality and Yield Management at Bloom Energy since 2011, Jim Li leads a team focused on stack failure analysis and business intelligence, achieving record yields annually through design for excellence and continuous improvement. Previous roles include Director of Process Engineering at Luxim Corporation, where innovative RF-driven electrode-less plasma light sources were developed, and Global Lean Six Sigma Black Belt at Symmetricom, overseeing complex projects and training staff in DMAIC methodologies. Additionally, Jim Li held positions at Owens Corning as Lead Project Manager and Senior Engineer, optimizing sales and operations planning and leading product launches, as well as serving as an Engineer at Palmer International, Inc. Jim Li holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and both a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
