Christopher Tong

Christopher Tong is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as an Engineering Team Lead for the Index Data Platform at Bloomberg since October 2014, Christopher oversees security level data processing, manages and coaches engineers, and contributes to the development and launch of new index products. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg, where Christopher created systems for index publication and data processing, and positions at IBM and SAP focusing on software development and product management. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Management Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Technical expertise includes C++, Python, JavaScript, Solr, and SQL.
