AD Sonny Borja, PharmD, MBA, PAHM, currently serves as the Executive Director of Pharmacy Programs at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association since May 2024. Borja has held various leadership roles in pharmacy strategy and management across notable organizations, including serving as Vice President of Pharmacy Strategy & Oversight and Clinical Product Strategy & Integration at Alterwood Health Management Company, Inc. Borja's extensive experience includes positions as Director of Pharmacy Management at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and Director of Medical & Pharmacy Management at the University of Maryland Medical System Health Plans, among others. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and multiple certificates in strategic leadership and governance from Wharton Executive Education.
