Ishita Verma

Ishita Verma is a dedicated researcher with a strong background in biological sciences. Currently serving as a Visiting Scholar at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science since October 2022, Ishita has previously held multiple roles, including Undergraduate Researcher at SRMIST from July 2023 to June 2024, focusing on ore enrichment by bacteria, and Science Team Lead as well as Head of Life Sciences for the RUDRA - SRM MARS ROVER project from February 2021 to March 2024. In addition, Ishita participated in the Young Scientist Program at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science in mid-2022, working on the evolution and survival of ancient microbes. Education includes a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from SRMIST and ongoing Master of Science studies in Biological Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, set to be completed in August 2026. Academic history also includes attendance at Delhi Public School, Vijayawada, and Pawar Public School, Hadapsar, Pune.
