Alicia Scocchia, MS, CGC, LGC is a skilled professional in the field of clinical genetics, currently serving as a Clinical Genomics Liaison at Blueprint Genetics since August 2020. Alicia has extensive experience in genetic counseling and education, holding positions such as Student Research Project Coordinator and Adjunct Professor at Augustana University since January 2017. Previously, Alicia worked as a Scientific Program Manager at Invitae and held multiple roles at Illumina, including Senior Genetic Counselor. Blueprint Genetics aims to disrupt the market by decreasing the price level of genetic diagnostics significantly while increasing quality and adding clinicalinsight to the results statements.The tests are based on a novel NGS method called OS-Seq:tm: that was developed in the Stanford University.The product roadmap of the company covers a long list of diagnostics for different hereditary diseases.
