Bluefors
Russell L. is an experienced professional in the field of quantum applications and physics, currently serving as the Director of Quantum Applications and Senior Scientist at Bluefors since March 2019. Prior to this role, Russell held the position of Physicist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from January 2017 to January 2019, focusing on quantum computer hardware and device physics. Russell's earlier experience includes an affiliation with Berkeley Lab, where research concentrated on materials in extreme conditions, and a postdoctoral position at Aalto University that involved developing ultrasensitive microwave detectors. Russell began a research career at NIST as a Guest Researcher from October 2008 to May 2012. Russell earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Clemson University, completing the program from 2006 to 2012.
