Richard Finlay has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Richard started their career as the Director of Accounting and Analysis at PACCAR in 1997 and later became the Director of Strategic Development at Boeing in 1998. In 1999, they joined Pet's Choice, Inc. as the President/CEO and held that position until 2005. From 2006 to 2008, Richard worked as the CFO at Carena and later served as the President/CEO at Fluid Marine from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they founded Kinetix Living and served as the President/CEO until 2011. Richard then worked as the Director of Operations and Finance at Ecofiltro SA from 2013 to 2014. Richard held the position of EVP - CFO at Eastside Catholic School from 2014 to 2016 before joining BNBuilders as the CFO in 2016. Additionally, Richard served as a Board Member at Seattle Humane Society from 2005 to 2010.

Richard Finlay obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Finance from the University of Washington, where they studied from 1978 to 1984. Richard later pursued further education at Cornell University, specifically through their eCornell platform, in the field of Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals. The duration of their studies at Cornell is, however, unknown.
