BoD – Books on Demand is an European leading publishing platform and pioneer in digital printing and publishing in small editions. We are specialized in printing and distributing books on demand from only one copy. Just as the name says, we first print and deliver books, when they are ordered. More than 3,000 publishing companies and 50.000 authors are already using our platform to bring their books out to the readers in an economic and sustainably way. Resource-saving production, using the so-called print-on-demand process, forms the basis of BoD and the protection of the environment is a fundamental part of our company philosophy. Being an expanding company in addition, we have also been able to reduce the amount of CO2 emitted from our production every year. We only use FSC-certified paper for our books. For shipping, we use grass packaging made of rapidly renewable raw materials from unused compensation areas in the region and environmentally friendly wet adhesive tape with plant-based adhesive. We are constantly testing new ways to develop our production, focusing on our goal to improve the sustainability of our book production in order to combine economic activity with ecological awareness.
