Sowmya Venugopal

Sowmya Venugopal has extensive experience at Bodycote, holding various positions since January 2013, including Global Commercial Excellence Manager, Regional Commercial Manager for North America Auto and General Industry, Commercial Operations Manager, and Regional Inside Sales. Previous positions include an internship at Bodycote in 2012 and a Bachelor Thesis at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) focusing on the corrosion resistance of Zircaloy-4 and 304L SS weldments. Additionally, Sowmya gained practical experience as a visiting trainee at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited in 2010. In terms of education, Sowmya earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University from 2019 to 2022, a Master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering with a Minor in Engineering Management from Northwestern University in 2011-2012, and a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from PSG College of Technology from 2007 to 2011.
