Rutger van Hilst has extensive work experience in the financial and charity sectors. Rutger served as the Chief Operating Officer at Bolder Group, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and establishing procedures. Rutger also held the position of Member of the Supervisory Board at Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur, a charity organization facilitating sports and creative activities for children from less wealthy families. Prior to this, Rutger held several roles at AMS Financial Group (now Bolder) and The AMS Financial Group, including Managing Director and Interim Manager. Rutger also gained experience at Citco Corporate and Trust as Vice President and Business Developer. Furthermore, Rutger worked at ING as a Compliance Officer early in their career.
Rutger van Hilst completed their LLM in Corporate Law at Utrecht University from 2000 to 2007. Rutger also obtained a certification from Dale Carnegie Training of The Netherlands, however, the specific month and year are not mentioned.
