Doug Munro

Doug Munro is an experienced professional with a career spanning over three decades in the malt and agriculture industry. Currently serving as the North American Merchandising Manager at Boortmalt since November 2019, Doug previously worked as a Senior Merchant for Malt By-products and Malting Barley at Cargill Malt from May 2017 to October 2019. Prior roles include General Manager at Shape Foods, Project Manager at Celco Controls Ltd., and various management positions at the Canadian Wheat Board, including Manager of Marketing and Sales for Barley/Barley Products and Malting Barley Program Manager. Doug's leadership experience also includes serving as Plant Manager at Burnbrae Farms and Dominion Malting Ltd. Academically, Doug holds a Certificate in Management, a Master of Science in Cereal Chemistry, a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a focus on Plant Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, all from the University of Manitoba.
