Udo Wahner

Udo Wahner is an experienced professional in the field of polyolefin innovation and technology management, currently serving as Application Technology Manager for Energy Storage at Borealis since August 2007. Wahner has held various roles at Borealis, including New Business Technical Manager and Project Manager focused on innovation and strategic projects. Prior to Borealis, Wahner was a Principal Scientist at Sasol Polymers, specializing in applied R&D for polypropylene and monomers, and earlier served as a Principal Scientist at Sasol Technology, focusing on fundamental R&D for specialty polyolefins. Wahner began a research career at the University of Stellenbosch, where a group for homogeneous catalysis was established. Academic credentials include a doctorate in Organic Chemistry from Max-Planck-Institute, a doctorate in Chemistry from Heidelberg University, and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, alongside ongoing studies at relevant institutions in Italy and Japan.
