Rafael Pelles

Rafael Pelles is a Robotics Software Engineer with extensive experience in developing and integrating advanced algorithms for autonomous vehicles and robots. Currently employed at Boston Dynamics since July 2022, Rafael previously held a similar position at Draper from September 2017 to June 2022, where significant contributions included developing software for autonomous exploration and navigation in complex environments. Earlier career experiences encompass roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at Columbia University's Creative Machines Lab, a Design Engineer at Boeing, and various internships at Space Exploration Technologies, Whirlpool Corporation, and the University of Pennsylvania Modular Robotics Lab. Rafael holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania.
