Tanya Roitman has a diverse work experience in the field of creative design and illustration. Tanya has worked at BrainPOP since 2005, starting as an Animator and Illustrator before moving on to become an Art Director and Senior Animator. In 2019, they took on the role of Creative Lead and UI/UX Designer at the same company.
Prior to their time at BrainPOP, Tanya worked as a Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer at Blue Apple Books, Scholastic, and Barnes and Noble from 2004 to 2011. Tanya also had freelance roles as an Illustrator and Paper Engineer at Disney Publishing from 2003 to 2004.
In their earlier career, Tanya held the position of Art Director and Interaction Designer at MainXchange from 1999 to 2001. Tanya worked as a Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer at Maariv, Am Oved, and Keter Publishing from 1997 to 2000.
Tanya also had experience as an Art Director at EDUNET/GEO - Interactive Media Group Ltd in collaboration with McGraw-Hill from 1997 to 1998. Tanya started their career as an Animator, Illustrator, and Graphic Designer at The Center for Educational Technology (CET) in collaboration with IBM Education from 1995 to 1997.
Tanya Roitman attended General Assembly NYC in 2013, where they studied User Experience Design. In 2012, they also attended General Assembly NYC, focusing on Front-End Web Development. Prior to these experiences, Tanya pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from Estonian Academy of Arts—Eesti Kunstiakadeemia, specializing in Graphic Design, Book Illustrations, and Artists' Books. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts in St-Petersburg, with a concentration in Set and Scene Design, Costume Design, Stage Management, and Technical Direction.
