Alasdair Monk

Alasdair M. is an experienced design professional currently serving as Head of Experience and Founding Designer at poolside since October 2023. Alasdair also holds the position of Venture Scout at Andreessen Horowitz starting in March 2024 and has been an Angel Investor and Design Advisor at incident.io since August 2021. Prior to these roles, Alasdair was VP of Design at Vercel from March 2022 to October 2023 and Principal Designer at HashiCorp from January 2021 to March 2022. Alasdair's background includes significant contributions to Salesforce as a UX Architect and Principal Product Designer for Heroku from January 2015 to January 2021, and leading the design team at GoCardless from November 2012 to January 2015. Alasdair began the career as a Web Designer and Developer on a freelance basis from October 2011 to November 2012 and has held various design positions at With Associates and StudioJuice. Alasdair earned a degree in Applied Information Technology from the University of Reading from 2006 to 2010.
