Karen Storey

Karen Storey has extensive experience in volunteer coordination and community engagement. Currently serving as a Magic Moments Activity Coordinator at Brighterkind since May 2022, Karen oversees a team of volunteers to support various initiatives aimed at alleviating isolation among local residents. Prior to this role, from June 2018 to July 2022, Karen worked as a Volunteer Coordinator and Events Coordinator at Age UK Oadby and Wigston, focusing on recruiting volunteers for multiple services. Karen's previous experience includes serving as a Volunteer Coordinator and Fundraiser at Methodist Homes MHA from February 2011 to July 2022, where responsibilities included managing over 100 volunteers and facilitating activities to promote well-being in the community. Earlier in career, Karen worked at Sainsbury's from March 2002 to January 2011 as a Counters Trainer for fresh foods and PR Ambassador, training new staff members in various food departments.
