Beth Cimini is an accomplished computational biologist with extensive experience in bioimage analysis. Since June 2016, Beth has served as Associate Director of Bioimage Analysis and Senior Group Leader at the Cimini Lab within the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, focusing on the development and enhancement of image assays as part of the CellProfiler team. Prior to this, Beth was a graduate student in Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn's lab at the University of California, San Francisco from September 2007 to May 2016, specializing in microscopy-based analysis of telomeres. Earlier experience includes a role as a student researcher in Dr. William Eldred's lab at Boston University from June 2005 to May 2007, where research involved studying the effects of muscarinic activation of the NO-cGMP pathway in the tiger salamander retina. Beth Cimini holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Boston University.
