Eric S. A. Urby currently serves as a Senior Research and Communications Assistant at The Brookings Institution, focusing on the Anti-Corruption, Democracy, & Security (ACDS) project. Prior experience includes a Legislative & Press Internship with the US Congress under Chairman Michael T. McCaul, and a Public Policy Internship at USAID, where Eric engaged in research and produced summary briefs for congressional hearings. Previous roles involve leading a research team in anti-colonial philosophy at Texas A&M University, as well as significant contributions to the legal field as a Lead Legal Intern at Hernandez Law Group, P.C., and as an International Legal Aide with Global Brigades, Inc. Eric also served as Editor in Chief for Aletheia, Texas A&M's Journal of Philosophy, where editorial leadership was strengthened. Eric holds a degree in Philosophy from Texas A&M University.
