Niclas Frederic Poitiers

Niclas Frederic Poitiers is a Research Fellow at Bruegel since September 2019. Prior to this role, Poitiers served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Universitat de Barcelona from September 2016 to July 2019, where teachings included "Introduction to Economics" for undergraduate students and "LaTeX for Economists" for graduate students. Earlier experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in 2014-2015, focusing on exercises in "Mathematical Methods for Economists B." An internship at Generali Investments in 2012 involved analyzing European Central Bank monetary policy and related economic factors. Poitiers holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Universitat de Barcelona (2015-2019), a Master of Science in Economics from The University of Bonn (2013-2015), a Bachelor of Science in Volkswirtschaftslehre from the University of Mannheim (2010-2013), and was a Visiting Researcher at Northwestern University in 2018. Additionally, Poitiers completed an exchange program at the University of Groningen in 2012.
