Matteo Alessandrini

Matteo Alessandrini currently serves as the R&D Technical Director of Magnets at Bruker BioSpin since February 2023, where responsibilities include developing and maintaining advanced magnet technologies for applications in NMR, pre-clinical MRI, and EPR. Prior to this role, Matteo held various positions at Bruker Switzerland AG, including Team Leader of the Superconducting Magnet Technology Team and Program Manager from January 2017 to February 2023, as well as Developer of Superconducting Magnet Technology from February 2010 to December 2016. Starting a career in electromagnetic and superconductivity at GE Global Research, Matteo also contributed to research at the University of Houston on superconducting magnets for space propulsion, and completed internships at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and INFN focusing on superconducting materials. Matteo holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Houston and additional degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Space Studies from notable institutions.
