Seye Alayande

Seye Alayande is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the FMCG and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Group Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at BUA Group since January 2021, Seye oversees legal matters for a leading conglomerate in Nigeria. Prior to this role, Seye held positions as Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company from August 2016 to December 2022, and as Deputy General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel at Afren Nigeria from June 2010 to October 2016, where responsibilities included providing commercial legal advice and managing litigation across multiple jurisdictions in the energy sector. Seye began the legal career as a Legal Manager at Sahara Group from January 2007 to May 2010, focusing on upstream agreements and advising on tender documentation. Seye holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Jos and a BL from the Nigeria Law School.
