Jim Dippel is a registered civil engineer with extensive experience in municipal roadway improvements and public works projects. Dippel retired in December 2023 after serving as a Senior Project Engineer at Burgess & Niple from February 1988 to December 2023, specializing in transportation engineering. Prior to this role, Dippel worked as a Project Engineer and Resident Engineer at NY Associates, Inc. from January 1982 to January 1988, overseeing large public works in New Orleans and designing infrastructure projects. Earlier experience includes working as a Project Engineer for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad from January 1980 to January 1982, where Dippel developed construction plans for new tracks. Dippel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completed in 1979.
