Kevin McCoy

Kevin McCoy currently serves as President of Government Operations at BWX Technologies, Inc. since May 2021. Prior experience includes President of Irving Shipbuilding from August 2013 to April 2021 and serving as Commander of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from July 2005 to July 2013, overseeing over 58,000 personnel and a budget exceeding $30 billion annually. As Chief Engineer of the US Navy, Kevin McCoy held technical authority over all surface ships, submarines, and aircraft carriers, leading a team of over 8,000 engineers. Previously, Kevin McCoy was the Shipyard Commander at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, managing a nuclear shipyard focused on the maintenance and modernization of fast attack nuclear submarines. Kevin McCoy holds an MBA from Emory University and dual master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
