Javier Pano (Barcelona, 1962) has been a member of CaixaBank’s Management Committee since October 2013.
He holds a degree in Business Administration and a MBA from the ESADE Business School since 1985.
He has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at CaixaBank since July 2014. He is responsible for Markets (trading books), ALM (banking books) and Investor Relations. He is Chairman of the ALCO and he also oversees liquidity management and wholesale funding.
Additionally he has been serving as board member at Portuguese Banco BPI, S.A. since 2017, and where he has also been member of the Risk Committee. Besides, since June 2018 he has been board member at Cecabank, S.A., where he is also member of the Nomination Committee.
Previously, he held senior positions at various companies: Croissant Express (1985-1987); Gesindex, SGIIC - General Manager (1987-1993);”la Caixa” (CaixaBank Spain) – Managing Director for Asset Management (1993-1996), then at GesCaixa/InverCaixa, SGIIC: Chief Investment Officer (CIO) (1996-2004) and from 2004 to July 2014 as Head of Treasury and Capital Markets at CaixaBank.
