Christine Wilkinson

Christine Wilkinson is a highly accomplished researcher with a strong background in environmental science, policy, and management. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Research Associate at the California Academy of Sciences, Christine also holds the title of Schmidt Science Fellow with Schmidt Science Fellows. Notably, Christine co-founded Black Mammalogists Week and is recognized as a Switzer Fellow with the Robert & Patricia Switzer Foundation, as well as a National Geographic Early Career Explorer. Christine's academic achievements include a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, where research focused on human-carnivore coexistence in urban areas, supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. In addition, Christine has a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources: Applied Ecology from Cornell University and a specialization in Wildlife Management from The School for Field Studies in Kenya and Tanzania.
