Daniel Duan

Daniel Duan is a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since July 2019, bringing extensive legal experience from previous roles, including Academic Program Coordinator and Legal Writing Instructor at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law from July 2014 to May 2019. Prior to that, Daniel served as a Contract Attorney at Rouda Law Firm and held positions such as Judicial Extern for Magistrate Judge Nathanael Cousins at the U.S. District Court and Law Clerk at Idell & Seitel, LLP. Additional experience includes legal internships with the San Francisco Mayor's Office and San Francisco Police Department, as well as summer clerkships at Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers and New Hope Academy. Daniel holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (UC Hastings) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis on Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
