Gita Gupta is board member at California Lutheran University and a previous consultant for Pattern Insight. Gita has also worked as the lead for all marketing activities for CubeTree, an enterprise Social Software start-up funded by Trinity Ventures and InterWest. In this role, they were responsible for repositioning the product as a cloud collaboration suite and driving a launch which instantly vaulted the company to the forefront of the highly competitive enterprise Social Software space.
Gupta established the company as a visionary and thought leader in this emerging, multi-billion dollar market category through a strategic mix of PR, AR, blogger outreach and use of social media channels. Within six months of launch, the company was positioned as a visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Social Software, won the Enterprise 2.0 Conference award for best start-up, and was signing 1000+ new companies per month with leads ranging from Fortune 100 companies to small businesses.
Gita created positioning and messaging that helped the company close a 4X over-subscribed $8M Series B in 2009, in a recessionary fund-raising environment. The company’s visionary cloud collaboration offering and significant market potential attracted multiple M&A offers; the company was acquired for $50M by SuccessFactors within one year of launch.
Gita Gupta received their Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University.
