Steve Fitzgerald

Steve Fitzgerald is a seasoned academic and technology leader with extensive experience in computer science and innovation. Currently serving as a Professor of Computer Science and Chief Technology Officer at California State University, Northridge since August 1994, Steve has played a significant role in shaping the educational landscape. Steve previously directed the META+LAB from October 2014 to July 2019, fostering an environment that encourages experimentation and innovation. Additionally, Steve held the position of VP of Technical Services at Eucalyptus Systems Inc. from January 2010 to January 2013 and worked as a Research Scientist at the Information Sciences Institute from 1996 to 1999. Steve earned a Doctor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
