Technical Solutions
Christian Ortego is vice president and general counsel at Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Technical Solutions division. He is responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to senior management and across all Technical Solutions business units.
Ortego joined HII in 2013 and has served as counsel to the company’s Newport News Shipbuilding division in various capacities. Prior to joining HII, he worked in private practice and at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. He is an active member of the Commonwealth of Virginia and State of Colorado Bars and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Ortego is a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve and has served in a variety of command and non-command positions on active duty and in the reserves, including onboard USS Gettysburg (CG 64) and USS Doyle (FFG 39) and a 2011 mobilization to Baghdad, Iraq.
