Steven Herbert

Head of Quantum Algorithms at Cambridge Quantum Computing

Steven Herbert has a long and varied work experience. Steven began in 2010 as a PhD Passed at the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge. TheirPhD title was "Wireless Communication in Vehicles". In 2015, they took on the role of Visitor at the University of Cambridge, and also became an Algorithm R & D Engineer at Bluwireless Technology. In 2016, they were a Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh. From 2018 to 2019, they held various roles at the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and University of Edinburgh School of Engineering, including Teaching By-Fellow, Research Associate, Visiting Researcher, and Affiliated Lecturer. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Cambridge Quantum as Head of Quantum Algorithms and Senior Research Scientist.

Steven Herbert obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Wireless Communication from the University of Cambridge in 2014. Prior to this, they completed a M.A. and M.Eng in Engineering from the same institution in 2010. In 2015, they obtained a PhD certification from the University of Cambridge.
