Insights Analyst

Capchase is an early-stage startup radically transforming how SaaS companies fund their growth by allowing them to receive upfront cash for contracts they sign with customers. We are shaping a new way for software companies to finance their growth (it's not us who say it, it's the Wall Street Journal). To carry out this mission, we've raised $60M+ in funding from some of the best investors in the business like Bling Capital (Airtable, Gitlab, Lyft, Square…), SciFI (by PayPal co-founder Max Levchin), Box Group (Amplitude, Stripe…), i80 Group (Properly). You'll be able to collaborate with some of the best product people in Silicon Valley.

We are looking for a full-time Insights Analyst to join our Insights team and work on bringing great and actionable insights at the fingertips of the finance, capital markets and go-to-market teams. ****In a nutshell, we need someone to equip the commercial functions with critical data necessary to drive internal strategic decision making as well as external reporting.. You'll solve hard problems and have deep impact on how quickly we are able to grow. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment, with amazing colleagues who believe in our mission. 🚀 The Job

• You will lead cross-functional work to evaluate and help build the data tracking and reporting needs of the business for both internal and external purposes.
• You will collaborate closely with the finance, capital markets, underwriting and growth teams to drive fundraising efforts, ensure maximum profitability and pursue dynamic growth initiatives.
• Running and maintaining the underwriting data pipelines: data sync and processing, the actual underwriting processes, tracking the ongoing payments, etc. Data is the blood that feeds Capchase - you'll make sure it keeps pumpin'.
• Building notebooks and Python scripts to gather insights and answers for business requests. You'll work hand in hand with the data and sales teams to answer specific questions that might arise from client pecularities.
• Working with complex datasets and APIs for advanced data analysis of financial metrics. You'll slice and dice data to accommodate it for specific metrics extraction.
• Building data processes for recurring analysis tasks. You'll decide what and how to automate certain tasks that keep showing up. This XKCD chart might come in handy 😀.
• Understanding business operations and implementing automatic data solutions for process improvements. Sometimes it's not about solving issues downstream (because it's much more costly), but how to avoid them in the first place!

🧠 The Requirements

• Very strong analytical skills, with great knowledge of BI tools such as Looker, Domo etc.
• Some level of Python. You know how to handle data-related classic libraries such as Numpy and Pandas.
• Proficiency with relational databases and proficient with SQL.
• 1-3 years working as a Analytics / Insights Analyst or similar role.
• Comfortable working with complex datasets.
• Strongly business-oriented.

💡 Extra Credit

• Experience in fintech/payment platforms and/or SaaS. Experience working with loan/credit-related databases in the past is a huge plus.
• Especially plus if in a Fintech startup.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment; ready to work remotely (or in NYC ) full time.
