Zhiyong Jia

Zhiyong Jia possesses extensive experience in materials science, currently serving as a Lab Analyst at Carbo Ceramics since May 2013, focusing on product development, process improvement, and root cause analysis for confidential ceramic-based proppants. Prior to this role, Zhiyong Jia worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from August 2007 to April 2013, specializing in the deformation behavior of materials and the interplay between grain size and fracture mechanisms. Zhiyong Jia also contributed as a Research Assistant at The University of Alabama from August 2000 to July 2007 and at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences from September 1996 to September 1999. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Science from The University of Alabama, an MSc in Materials Science from the Institute of Metal Research, and a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science from Shenyang University of Technology.
