Carbon Masters
Som Narayan has extensive work experience in the area of climate change and carbon management. Som co-founded Carbon Masters in 2009 and has been involved in this field for the past six years. Som completed their Masters in Carbon Management at the University of Edinburgh in 2008 and worked on the feasibility of low carbon technologies for the energy sector and an Emissions Performance Standard (EPS) for coal power generating plants with Friends of the Earth and World Development Movement Scotland during their studies. Prior to that, they worked as an Energy Campaigner for Friends of the Earth from November 2008 to December 2009.
Som Narayan completed a Masters in Carbon Management from The University of Edinburgh in 2008-2009. Prior to that, they pursued a PGDEL degree from the National Law School of India University in 2007-2008, specializing in international environmental law, environmental policy, pollution control and waste management law, and biodiversity law. Earlier, from 2003 to 2007, Som studied Environmental Engineering at Visvesvaraya Technological University, focusing on water treatment, hazardous waste management, air pollution, solid waste management, and occupational safety and health.
