Rob Freelen

Rob Freelen is a seasoned venture capital professional currently serving as Managing Director at Sozo Ventures since September 2022, where the focus is on aiding expansion-stage companies through a robust network in Asia. Freelen's board roles include positions at Outer Biosciences, Carbon Robotics, Mercy BioAnalytics, and Haus Labs By Lady Gaga, highlighting a significant involvement in leading multiple funding rounds. Additionally, Freelen co-founded a stealth fintech company and is a Kauffman Fellow from Class 29 since May 2024. With a rich history at Silicon Valley Bank from 2005 to 2022, including serving as Managing Director and Head of Venture Capital Relationship Management, Freelen has consistently demonstrated leadership and success in the venture capital landscape.
