Richard Sinclair

Richard Sinclair serves as General Counsel at Carleton University since January 2025, following a tenure as General Counsel for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board from August 2012 to December 2024, where responsibilities included Legal Services, Labour Relations, Privacy, and Risk Management. Prior roles include Manager of Legal Services and Labour Relations, and Labour Relations Officer/Legal Advisor at Kelly Santini LLP from September 2009 to August 2012, as well as positions as a lawyer at Heenan Blaikie from July 2005 to August 2008. Richard Sinclair holds an LLB/LLL in Law from the University of Ottawa (2000-2004), an MBA in General Management from Syracuse University - Whitman School of Management (2008-2010), and a BA in Communications from Concordia University (1996-2000).
