John Dolan

John Dolan is a Principal Systems Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University, where research is conducted, robotics and electrical engineering courses are taught, and students are advised. Dolan leads the Telesupervised Autonomous Robots (TSAR) Lab and has developed a cybersecurity web portal for non-technical users through collaboration with CyLab. Formerly, Dolan served as Commander of a Strategic Intelligence Group in the United States Army Reserve, overseeing operations in key locations including the Pentagon. Additionally, as the Behaviors Lead for Tartan Racing, Dolan contributed to the team’s success in winning the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Strategic Studies from notable institutions.
