Srinivasan Seshan is the Joseph F. Traub Professor of Computer Science and currently serves as the Head of the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University, with a tenure that began in September 2000 and a leadership role that commenced in July 2018. Prior to this position, Srinivasan Seshan worked as a Research Staff Member at IBM TJ Watson Research Center from January 1996 to August 2000. Srinivasan Seshan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, all from the University of California, Berkeley, with education completed between 1986 and 1995.
