Margo Demello

Assistant Professor at Carroll College

Margo DeMello is an experienced academic and program director with a focus on Human-Animal Studies. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Carroll College since August 2020, Margo has extensive teaching experience, having held an adjunct professor position at Canisius College from August 2013 to August 2020, and lecturing at Central New Mexico College from August 2004 to December 2010. As Program Director for the Animals and Society Institute since 2004, Margo has been active in shaping the field while also serving as President of the House Rabbit Society from 1995 until December 2017. Margo obtained a PhD in Anthropology from the University of California, Davis, after completing a degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
