Ena Selmanovic, LMSW, currently serves as a Therapist at The Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) and an Adjunct Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. The mission of CASES is to increase the understanding and use of community sanctions that are fair, affordable, and consistent with public safety. CASES serves nearly 4,000 individuals annually in programs lasting anywhere from one day to more than two years. Their programs are aimed at high-need populations, including young people, adults with mental illness, and chronic misdemeanants who are homeless, drug-addicted, or underemployed.
