Lily Belisle is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in research, legal assistance, and community outreach. Currently serving as a Junior Research & Evaluation Analyst for The Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) since May 2024, Lily previously co-founded Armchair Journal and managed events and outreach while also contributing to the editorial board from April 2023 to May 2024. At Boston University, Lily held multiple roles including Research Assistant and Communications Manager for the Center for Innovation in Social Science, while also serving as a communications intern. Additional legal experience includes internships at Support Through Court, Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, and the Women's Bar Foundation of Massachusetts. With a background in education as a private piano instructor and swim instructor, Lily has a strong commitment to community engagement and personal development. Lily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Boston University and has participated in a London internship study abroad program.

The mission of CASES is to increase the understanding and use of community sanctions that are fair, affordable, and consistent with public safety. CASES serves nearly 4,000 individuals annually in programs lasting anywhere from one day to more than two years. Their programs are aimed at high-need populations, including young people, adults with mental illness, and chronic misdemeanants who are homeless, drug-addicted, or underemployed.
