Clive Svendsen is the Executive Director of the Regenerative Medicine Institute at Cedars-Sinai, overseeing an active lab with 28 faculty members and over 100 staff since January 2010. Previously, Clive co-directed the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from January 2000 to January 2010, which was founded in collaboration with Tim Kamp. Clive's earlier research experience includes serving as a Welcome Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, where a laboratory focused on neuroscience, growth factors, and stem cells was led from January 1993 to January 2000. Clive founded a local subsidiary of ESA Analytical, a company specializing in electrochemical detectors for brain neurotransmitter measurement, serving as Managing Director from January 1992 to January 1993. Clive holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, pre-doctoral training from Harvard University in schizophrenia and brain banking, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from King's College London.
