John King

John King brings extensive legal experience, particularly in environmental health and safety (EHS) and litigation. Currently serving as Chief Counsel EHS with Celanese since March 2018, John previously held the role of Associate General Counsel EHS, Litigation, and Quality at the same company from March 2011 to January 2018. Prior to their tenure at Celanese, John practiced as a Senior Counsel EHS and Global Litigation at Celanese and as a Contract Attorney at both Jones Day and Vinson and Elkins, where responsibilities included managing privilege review teams and conducting electronic discovery in complex regulatory investigations. John earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law and Graduate School.
