Leslie Donato is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for AmerisourceBergen Corporation. In this role, she architects and leads the organization’s long-term growth strategy and oversees initiatives that aim to diversify the organization’s portfolio through innovative build or buy opportunities.
Ms. Donato has over 25 years of long-range strategy and healthcare industry expertise. Prior to being named to her current role, she was the Vice President of Strategy at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Over the course of her career at Bayer, she led the US Business Unit for Hematology and Neurology and the global strategic marketing function for neurology.
Prior to these roles, Ms. Donato was a principal and founding partner of McKinsey & Company’s Philadelphia office. Over the course of her 14-year tenure with McKinsey & Company, she helped healthcare company executives improve performance across strategy, organization re-design and capability building, commercial excellence including brand strategy and sales force architecture and business development. While there, she also led the Mid-Atlantic office women’s initiative, responsible for attracting, developing and retaining talented female consultants. She started her career at Deloitte Consulting.
